The Stadtwerke Hannover AG demonstrates with "enercity - positive energy", that energy is created, in the first place, when people meet.

The magic ball, found inside the six- metre high "enercity dome", re-charges the visitors' batteries with its ever-changing play of colours and sounds.

The people manning the stands also exude positive energy. These are not hosts and hostesses from outside but 200 employees of the utilities company itself - from heads of departments to the "man in the ditch" - who give visitors a realistic insight into the work they do. Visitors learn, from five "Info-terminals" or from the workers themselves, about the concept of "enercity - positive energy" and of new Stadtwerke offers in the de-regulated energy market.

The Stadtwerke Hannover is providing the entire EXPO site with electricity, gas and water, both before and during the World Exhibition.
