Deutsche Lufthansa AG

Together in a moving world

The age-old dream of flying: The Deutsche Lufthansa AG makes it come true in Hall 13. In the exhibition "The Fascination of Flying" the visitors take off. Air currents, fog and the wing-inspired architecture recreate the feeling of gliding through space like Icarus. In the "Flight Level" you go to heaven via seven upward sloping levels where Lufthansa presents its seven business areas. Once at the top, you can sit on "Cloud Seven" - the German equivalent of cloud nine.

Lufthansa also presents itself in the Thematic area as a member of the "Alliance for Mobility". In addition, the company is a partner of the German Pavilion and supports several Projects around the World such as the "Living Lakes" network for the protection of lakes.

As the official airline of EXPO2000, Lufthansa is bringing many of the visitors to Hanover. During the World Exposition the airline is starting and landing 90 times a day at Hanover airport. Since May 1999, a Boing 747-400 decorated with the EXPO logo is promoting the first World Exposition in Germany all over the world.

Every Friday and Saturday until the 7th of October Lufthansa continues to operate "Cockpit live" (a flight simulator) in hall 13. Visitors can steer an airbus supported by an experienced Lufthansa pilot. Cockpit live operates between  9 am and 9.30 pm.
