The journey to the fascinating media-world of "Planet m - Media for People", begins with a ride in the largest lift in the world. The "Space Lift" transports you and 200 other visitors into the inner planet. A multi-media show enables you to experience the development of media throughout the ages: from cave paintings to the internet. The film "Sternenfänger" (Star-catcher) takes up this theme and shows, through the display of breath-taking pictures from Morocco, Egypt and Tibet, how the media connect people and cultures.

The 30-metre wide and 8-metre high "Media Gallery" - a wall with 300 gallery windows - depicts the variety of Bertelsmann's programme. Among the 137 productions, you discover interesting objects and representations, from the dress of the opera singer Montserrat Caballé to the reconstruction of Oetzi, a prehistoric mummified corpse.
